Hello! I'm Kirsty your local Nature Makers Activity provider for Newport South Wales and the surrounding areas. 

 

I live with my two fluffies Lola and Charlie in the Blaenau Gwent area. We love exploring and finding new interesting places to walk. We can often be found in the summer months up the mountain behind our house. I spent many weekends growing up on the same mountain when visiting grandparents, either with friends or with family picking winberries to make winberry tart. When I see how much time children spend indoors I feel grateful for the experiences I had and try to provide similar experiences for my nephews. 

 

I worked as a primary school teacher for 8 years and decided to join Nature Makers because so many of their values aligned with myself, combining my love of outdoors and nature with creativity and looking after the planet. It felt like an opportunity I couldn't pass up.  I look forward to meeting you and creating new memories in our Nature Makers sessions soon!
